I LEFT TD Ameriturd years ago to get away from TOS. Its a massive pile of code that has been setup to do everything but be user friendly. This does this here but not there. To many modules setup by to many code writers with no common rules for operation. SSE worked for years for me. First day I tried the new TOS it went down and Tech support didn't have clue..

What the hell is going on with thinkorswim? It worked fine for ever now, it screwing up all the time. When something works do not fix it. Seems like someone is screwing with code trying to screw people out of money.

Hello, if u keep stocks for let's say 20 years and never sell, and right before selling u move to Belgium for example where u don't pay capital gains tax. Is that possible to avoid paying capital gains?

TOS is an unqualified POS ! It has virtually none of the brilliant features of SSE. It's clunky, cumbersome, slow, infested with scores of utterly unnecessary "features" and thus unnecessary steps, creating a rats maze to navigate through just to get simple things gone. It wastes a great amount of real estate on silly things that should have been dedicated for vital things. It lacks a small box to quickly execute trades, lacks quick access to watch lists, etc. SSE had everything on ONE page, easily visible, accessible and executable. Graphically TOS is chaotic, cluttered, unintuitive and clearly unsophisticated. These comments are from someone hired to design the 757 cockpit instrumentation and Lockheed's 3-D manufacturing schemata, with a Masters degree in Industrial Design. Schwab is forcing clients to be very uncomfortably crammed into a "Rube Goldberg" contraption that may very well spawn a rebellion. At the very least Schwab should be offering clients a choice between SSE and TOS. It has the best agents in the Industry, but boneheaded corp management.

Is there a way to quickly copy all trades etc from my existing live margin account to my paper margin account without having to input each trade individually? Thanks

Who have been the beneficiaries of 50% Capital gain tax? The real estate investors; not the people who buy homes to live. The stock/ crypto traders, who have no real contribution to the economy; the commodity traders (via Asset backed securities and Exchange traded funds) who priced out the real users of those commodities. Think about the thousand of families who have to buy gold for their children's marriage in India and elsewhere. They can't buy gold anymore because the speculators (so called investors) who bought Gold ETFs artificially inflated the Gold price. This whole system is a scam and must be done away with. The first step is tax Capital gain 100% like any other income. Well done Trudeau!

Stock and all these fund crap are a scam. Success isn't guaranteed manager still get paid regardless if the stock does well or not. If that's not a tell tail sign you have the shorter hand of the stick I don't know what to tell you. It's like MLM only the higher ups get to make profit while there's gotta be sacrificial lamb for winners to exist. Fallen victim once to stocks.

So a long position in trailing stop will result in the SELL of the stock? Its so confusing. Why is it not short position of trailing stop?

Getting rid of SSE is a mistake. I have officially left Schwab after over 20 years because of this garbage they're forcing down our throats. Trading options on ToS is horrendous.
